In 1983 Brian Blake was a co-founder and co-owner of Tactical Decisions Group, which grew rapidly, earning the reputation as Cleveland's "high tech" research firm. In 1996, TDG merged to form Triad Research Group. Rod Antilla directed the quantitative analysis division of both firms. In the fall of 1997 Brian, Rod and selected specialists spun off to found Action Based Research.
