Quantitative Approaches
ABR uses well-establshed qualitative techniques to gather rich, multi-faceted information from the consumer. Qualitative methods are often used as a preliminary step to quantitative research, as a way to explore "real" consumers' opinions and attitudes, or as a means of obtaining feedback for market planning.

Focus Groups
Focus groups typically involve 8 to 10 consumers in a free-flowing discussled by a group moderator, whose role it is to facilitate the discussion.

The moderator both directs and listens to the group, ensuring that the discussion is on track and relevant to the topic of interest.

ABR uses only highly experienced moderators, who work with the client to ensure actionable results.

In-depth Interviews
In-depth interviews can either be conducted over the phone or in person -- to gather detailed accounts of how consumers think about a specific product or service.

ABR has executive interviewers with extensive experience in a wide variety of market sectors.
